Did you know Gonzo (yes the Muppet) is a Weirdo? Yes, that is his actual species and why he was always my favorite Muppet. I always felt like a weirdo and was called that several times in my youth, by bullies at school, but also by friends and family. I used to wear it as a badge of honor, even in the beginning stages of being humiliated for it. Over time, I eventually locked that bit of me away. It didn't feel safe for little weirdo Nicole to come out and play. However, since I began this journey, little bits of that unique, different-thinking, sensitive weirdo have returned.
